Wellington is a new village started in 1977, just west of the Florida Turnpike, 14 miles west of the ocean. Wellington, the home of Palm Beach Polo and show grounds hosted the 1996 Olympic Equestrian Team Trials. Wellington has it all, lakes, golf courses, country clubs, it's own hospital, shopping and a new mall completed in 2001. Wellington has new home construction, or resales of single family, townhome, condo, or equestrian property with riding trails. The Aero Club community has it's own private runway for homeowners.

Just east of Wellington is Okeeheelee Park, a world class competitive water ski site with golf and tennis facilities. Okeeheelee Park has hosted numerous National Water Ski Tournaments from 1985 to the present.
